2004 Toyota 4runner
For the people who are craving for a sport utility vehicle which is nearly like
cars, Toyota 4runner is an excellent choice. It is packed with the newest off-road
electronic technology. Yet, it is still built on rugged ladder frame with a solid
rear axle like its truck ancestors because Toyota believes that the old package
provides good off-road performance and lasting strength in working-truck situations.
For this year, Toyota 4runner is larger, smoother and more spacious, and it offers
a ride quality that is very much improved. Some of its optional features are the
linked shock absorber system, the standard V6 and the optional V8. The linked
shock absorber system made handling and driving on the highway better. V6 gives
more power for good acceleration and it is so tough that using the upgrade is
not anymore necessary unless a lot of towing will be done.
The 2004 4runner can tow 5000 pounds with the V6 and 7000 pounds with the V8.
It also has the optional third seat that increases passenger capacity up to seven
persons. Like all other models, 2004 Toyota 4runner was made standard with running
boards and more upscale body-colored bumpers and lower body cladding. For this
year, the optional GPS navigation system contains a video camera which is mounted
on the rear for backing up.
The 2004 Toyota 4Runner is offered in SR5, Sport Edition and Limited. These three
trim levels come with either the V6 or V8 and two-or four-wheel drive. All models
have the newly developed 4.0-liter V6 that sends 245 horsepower and 283 pounds-feet
of torque. Passive safety elements are also mounted in this year's Toyota 4runner.
It is consisted of dual-stage front airbags and three-point seat belts in any
positions, having pretensioners and force limiters to lessen the possibility of
belt-related injuries.
