Body lift is a kit that lifts a vehicle's body in relation to its frame and suspension to give more space underneath for a taller wheel-and-tire package. It is often used for off road vehicles. Toyota 4Runner body lift is supplied with washers which are fitted between the body and the body lift spacers.

 

For maximum strength, welding the washers to the body is highly recommended. Body lift comes in 2" or 3", it includes bumper bracket but doesn't fit models with automatic transmissions. Some body lifts includes steering extension and have rear bumpers that can be raised using the stock bumper brackets.
